I've spent 5 months in Middle School already?...Wow.

Middle School? I'm not sure exactly what words would be best to describe it! So many more things to try...to do. Opening locks? That many different classes? Homework? (And F.Y.I, I do know what homework is. But anyway, since we're getting older, we shouldn't really expect to have less homework...imagine 8th grade...!)  Would I really survive? It's hard to believe that I have (well..so far...) survived...
The words I have chosen for my WORDLE about the first half of 6th grade are about the many changes and new things that have introduced to us. Most of them, are skills, knowledge, or things I can't live without. They are important to me in different ways. Some of them are changes from Elemantary to Middle School, and others are things, or people that have been with me since 5th grade; like my friends. The things like many different teachers, and different classes apply to my new part of life at Middle School.

SPCA-We can make a difference...

Today in school, Jacinta from the SPCA, came and talked to us about the "6 Pillars" of the SPCA. The SPCA, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, rescues, takes care of, and re-homes these poor pets from Selangor as most of them are strays, or have been neglected by their owners. Jacinta showed us many photos, pictures and images that showed how the pets have been treated, and their current condition. It's hard for me to believe that some people can be so cruel to animals. They're living breathing creatures and should be treated they way they should. It's wrong to abuse them like that, kicking them, throwing stones, dumping hot water on them can cause major scars on these pitiful animals. It's just not right!!!

P.S. If you want a pet, DON'T go to the shops to buy one! There are WAY more pets at the SPCA that need a home! 20% of the pets that go to the SPCA are adopted while the rest are put to sleep, and, in other words; KILLED.

LEADERSHIP...

Leadership. Anyone can be a leader, I guess. Unless you think that leadership is when YOU can tell everyone, or anyone, what they can't or can do. Leadership is when you LEAD other people, help them, organize things so everything can be easier...I just absolutely, positively HATE those people who act so bossy, in control and stubborn! "You're doing it wrong! You're doing it wrong!" You say I'M doing it wrong...I'd like to see you try...

YaY! Obama won the election!!!!

Last Thursday, at school, everyone was SCREAMING sooo loud cos' Obama won! I could hear everyone cheering downstairs in the hallway when I was on the second floor going to Math class. I think this is a big step for America, electing their first African-american president, and, although I'm not American I am very happy that he won.

My Idea of Courage...

There are many ways to see courage. For some people courage is overcoming your greatest fear; to reach the top of the climbing wall, the rope in P.E; or just helping someone in need. My idea of courage is to overcome a fear. It takes a lot of courage to eat a bizarre food, to go on that scary roller-coaster, or to stand on a stage proudly. I, so far, have not overcome my fear of spiders because of a bad experience. I was watching T.V. when I felt a tingling feeling on my leg. I thought it was just itchy, but it when I reached for my leg to scratch it, I felt something big and hairy!!! It was a giant black spider!!! I jumped off the bed and screamed!!! Although I'm afraid of spiders, I don't mind seeing them as long a they are kept in a cage, bottle, whatever! As long as they're trapped...
